Prof. Hong is currently the Deputy Dean of School of Data Science and Head of Management Science Department at Fudan University. His research focuses on the areas of operations research, data science, and financial engineering and risk management. He has published over 80 papers on leading academic journals and conference proceedings, including more than 20 papers on the UTD journals. Besides, he has won numerous awards, including Outstanding Research Award from Operations Research Society of China, Outstanding Simulation Publication Award from INFORMS Simulation Society, Operations Best Paper Award from Institute of Industrial Engineers, etc. Prof. Hong is currently an Area Editor of Operations Research, the Associate Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Operations Research Society of China, an Associate Editor of Management Science and ACM Transactions on Modeling and Computer Simulation, and the President of INFORMS Simulation Society.
